By default the VM captures the mouse and works fine, using ctrl+alt+space to break out.

Can you change this to allow the mouse to just pass in and out of the VM like it does in a remote desktop session?

Thanks

Have you installed the VM integration tools?

Just the ones that are provided by the hyper-v manager. Should be something like insert integration disk in one of the menues when you are looking at the VM. If the client is Windows 7 or 2008 r2 the features will already be installed by default.

Hello

Can someone post which integration updates need to be installed? I am using a new machine and it has since been requiring me to manually rlease the mouse when moving from the Virtual Machine back to the host machine. My previous machine ran HyperV, too. I don't recall having to do this, ever.

Host= Windows 10

VM = Windows XP
