Scrolling text software for pc?

Hi all,

 

We have recently bought a pc for showing school video's and powerpoints throughout the day. It is placed in a corridor ( bolted down !!). My headteacher has asked if I can find a way of having a welcome message running across the top of the programme, saying welcome to our school etc etc. I think we'd like something similar to a news ticker. I've had a brief look on the net and all I can find is tickers for web site's not pc's.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How would I run this over a video? Only know the basics of powerpoint, can this be done, ticker style?

Insert the video into the powerpoint presentation.

you could do it in a webpage.

 

F11 gets rid of the tool bars

the video could be displayed in the video window

at the top create a layer the full length of the screen and add

 

Whatever you want to say
