Jona Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 We're looking for someone to come and provide 1st line support at a large independent boarding School in Surrey Outline details are on our website: Bursarial Vacancies but do reply if you'd like more details. It would suit someone who already has some experience but who wants to come and work in a busy environment and develop their skills over a range of tasks.
featured_spectre Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 £17k-£19k looking for someone who has been a tech before and wants a challenge. If successful in 2 or 3 years time person would get a bump in pay and title.
peterp Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Seriously? Is the challenge to survive on that wage?
featured_spectre Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 haha, well if a job is local to me, I will go down to between £20-£25k. If it is a commute I will look for £28k+ The person they want there will get the following benefits (not mentioned on the site but told me to me on the phone) Use of discount card for suppliers (Dabs, ebuyer etc) for personal purchases provided it is pre-agree'd in writing with the bursar Free breakfast and lunch, free dinner on open evenings / late working evenings 5% pension fund There are more but they stuck out in my head
peterp Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 (edited) Well, I'm on more than they are offering in the midlands as a technican/helpdesk/VLE For the extra cost of living Down South, and what amounts to a senior tech role, I'd be wanting at least (more), with a move to network manager taking me to (more still) at least.
