I've just been perusing the BETT site and came accross some nice graphs here: BETT SHOW

It's quite intresting to see who the largest visitor group now is, and many of us remember when it was almost impossible to get to BETT!

I remember not being allowed to go because it would leave my place without IT support. Last year I booked it off as holiday and then they tried to cancel it (booked 6 months in advance and had it properly signed off etc). Was glad I went as I learnt a lot about new technologies and also had fun on the Edugeek BETT stand ...best piece of technology last year, the Skoog as @Domino can quite easily attest too :D

It show that other staff go in proportion to their numbers there must be more teachers as they are at the bottom of the pyramid. It would be interesting to know what proportion of Headead go!! Edited by nicholab

The figures are a tad mis-leading ... the label of ICT Co-ordinator means that they are not on the 'teachers' group for the stats ... it has been raised before and the suppliers (apparently) prefer it like that as it gives them an idea about how many people they are speaking to with some reasonable knowledge / hands-on experience of operating IT / software. It is probably best to speak to the suppliers themselves about the footfall.

Looking at the original post here again - I reckon we need to get BETT to add "edugeek" as an occupation option when registering :)
  • Thanks 2
