go into the config program and tick use alternative save dir and put in h: /u: /whatever you want though id be tempted to add drive\tuxpaint. If its installed locally rather than a shared drive then you need to get the c:\prog...\tuxpaint\tuxpaint.cfg file distributed to apply the changes to other pcs

Have finally had chance to visit this and have decided that the Penguin is evil!! I just cant get it to save where i want! It runs from the server but its almost like its ignoring the config file as i've told it to start on a blank page which it isnt...i've noticed its path is P:\Apps and not \\curricsvr1\apps...would that make a difference?

where is the config file kept? my users are using mandatory profiles, so the config file is install somewhere in the users profile.

yes it would make a difference it should be something like \\curricsvr1\apps

Right, Tux config file is store in this location

\\curricsvr1\profiles\MandatoryProfile\Application Data\TuxPaint

all my users run a mandatory profile so all users get the same profile

in that folder is a "tuxpaint.cfg" file

my reads the following

# Generated by tuxpaint-config version 0.0.11

fullscreen=yes

lang=british

altprint=always

savedir=//curricsvr2/common/TuxPaint/saved/

startblank=yes

Hope this helps

the app data seems to be a red herring ive just installed and fiddled and as long as i change tuxpaint.cfg in r:\programs\tuxpaint (and make sure i select ALL users in the config page) the setting seem to apply wether or not there is a file in docs and settings

DUDE! That's it!

I now have a save folder for the user. Theres lot of other bits in there...is there a way to get rid of that? I specified H:\TuxPaint. But they have to go into anoter folder called saved, and then theres a thumbs folder....

And what do you mean by select ALL users?
