NetworkGeezer Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Some of my DHCP clients have a problem picking up their IP reservations if they try to connect via their wireless interface. Connections via the normal wired RJ45 links appear to be OK. Are wireless access points layer 2 or layer 3? Should it matter that the client IPs are on a different subnet to the one being used to control the WAP?
Geoff Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 If there's a DHCP/BOOTP relay running on the AP that might be the cause.
NetworkGeezer Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 Thanks Geoff. I'll take a look. I don't remember turning anything like that on.
