andyturpie Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Afternoon peeps, Is there away to change the exchange mailbox completely from the one which is synched and created with a log in? We have a user (mihu) which was a CC3 log in. The machine has gone belly up and we have had to build a vanilla machine due to install issues of adobe CS5.5 and had to issue a vanilla log in (micheleh). What we are trying to do (quite unsuccessfully) is to get the user to log on as micheleh and outlook to pick up mihu mailbox to send and receive. We've looked at mailbox permissions etc, but cannot get it to work. Please guys and gals point us in the right direction - we never really look at the exchange server
sukh Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 1. What veriosn of Exch? 2. Five full mailbox permission to micheleh on the mihu mailbox and also give the send as permission to be able to send as that user. 1
FN-GM Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 The previous poster is also right. You could always export the emails from the old email account and impor them to the new one using outlook. That would be a more tidy way of doing it. 1
andyturpie Posted October 3, 2011 Author Posted October 3, 2011 Guys - thanks for you invaluable help, will check out this afternoon - looks like it was the send permissions. I had it done to my account when I started here, my profile had got corrupt and had a new one created. As my old and new were a memeber of the same group (admin accounts), I had already been set "send as" permissions by default. We will attempt to test later and let you know. Thanks again!
andyturpie Posted October 3, 2011 Author Posted October 3, 2011 PS it is Exchange 2003 we are still running.
