wdwm Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 (edited) Hi, apologies for starting a new thread I was not sure if to add to another? First of all Nick, thankyou for all your hardwork. What you have produced is fantastic! Now to my problem. It's late so if I'm not quite coherent in my description, I'll be blaming that fact. To help I have added pics. Firstly, when I attempt to add a booking I get the following error: That's fine, I refresh the page and the booking has been made. However in the past I'm sure the persons display name was shown with the booking, not their username? Have I missed something on the setup? Then, if I check other dates, the calendar covers the first lesson 'area', only a refresh will clear it. Then finally, if I were to cancel the booking I get a new message error, the screen greys out and I need to refresh the page again to clear: & Again apologies if these are known issues, and any help accepted in clearing them if anyone has any ideas? Edit: This done from home on Win 7 64bit, IE9. Server is 2003 running IIS6. Edited September 21, 2011 by wdwm Additional Info Added
nickbro Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Hi, apologies for starting a new thread I was not sure if to add to another? First of all Nick, thankyou for all your hardwork. What you have produced is fantastic! Now to my problem. It's late so if I'm not quite coherent in my description, I'll be blaming that fact. To help I have added pics. Firstly, when I attempt to add a booking I get the following error: Should be fixed in v7.2 (when it's out later today). It's due to the email address not being in AD/SMTP server being disabled. I'd forgotten to check to see if SMTP was disabled Home Access Plus+ That's fine, I refresh the page and the booking has been made. However in the past I'm sure the persons display name was shown with the booking, not their username? Have I missed something on the setup? What user are you using to connect to AD? It needs to be an administator preferably Then, if I check other dates, the calendar covers the first lesson 'area', only a refresh will clear it. You should be abled to click here it says 1a and the calendar disapears Then finally, if I were to cancel the booking I get a new message error, the screen greys out and I need to refresh the page again to clear: & Again apologies if these are known issues, and any help accepted in clearing them if anyone has any ideas? Edit: This done from home on Win 7 64bit, IE9. Server is 2003 running IIS6. Same as above, fixed in v7.2.
wdwm Posted September 21, 2011 Author Posted September 21, 2011 Thanks Nick for the updates. The user I connect with is the admin.
wdwm Posted September 21, 2011 Author Posted September 21, 2011 Still having an issue with booking and cancelling lessons. It throws up a new error: And user names are still being shown not display names. I'm using the administrator account to connect to the AD. (Thanks for quick turn around on new patch!)
wdwm Posted September 21, 2011 Author Posted September 21, 2011 Still having an issue with booking and cancelling lessons. It throws up a new error: And user names are still being shown not display names. I'm using the administrator account to connect to the AD. (Thanks for quick turn around on new patch!) Further update, I've just tried a creating a ticket. In the drop down it only shows the user names ("xyz - xyz") as opposed to username and display name. Then when I attempt to create ticket I get an error page: [indexOutOfRangeException: Index was outside the bounds of the array.] HAP.Web.HelpDesk.Ticket..ctor(XmlNode node) +626 HAP.Web.HelpDesk.Default.loadtickets() +452 HAP.Web.HelpDesk.Default.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) +74 System.Web.Util.CalliHelper.EventArgFunctionCaller(IntPtr fp, Object o, Object t, EventArgs e) +14 System.Web.Util.CalliEventHandlerDelegateProxy.Callback(Object sender, EventArgs e) +35 System.Web.UI.Control.OnLoad(EventArgs e) +91 System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() +74 System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) +2207 The ticket does get created but if I click to view I get: Databinding methods such as Eval(), XPath(), and Bind() can only be used in the context of a databound control. nickbro Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Are you running v7.2? v7.2 should of fixed 1 of those issues
wdwm Posted September 21, 2011 Author Posted September 21, 2011 Are you running v7.2? v7.2 should of fixed 1 of those issues Yes, downloaded the patch update not the full version.
nickbro Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Try downloading the patch again, the booking system file didn't get properly updated
nickbro Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 As for usernames not showing properly, the info for that is pulled from AD, DISPLAY NAME or NOTES
wdwm Posted September 22, 2011 Author Posted September 22, 2011 Hi Nick, Have reinstalled the 7.2 patch and there were extra files than lastnight. Apart from creating a ticket, all the other bugs are still there. Is it worth me trying a complete fresh install?
wdwm Posted September 22, 2011 Author Posted September 22, 2011 Same issues with fresh install. Gonna go scratch me head and have another look. Thankyou for your support thusfar Nick, it is appreciated.
nickbro Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Updated setup file in both ZIP files now on codeplex
wdwm Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 I still have issues with the booking system and helpdesk. It appears that it can not produce the 'displayName' correctly, this leads to other various errors that I've previously mentioned. Too my knowledge (after several resintalls) I have followed the set up correctly. I run IIS6 on a Win server 2003 SP2 server. Are there others out there suffering similair issues with? if so, how did you get around the displaying of the displayName? (please) The following image is from the help desk 'Create Admin Ticket' area.
nickbro Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 The drop down list is populated directly from AD, it should pull the notes and display name. Ok, done some digging, seems to be ignoring the display name. Will be fixed in v7.5 due out this weekend hopefully
nickbro Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Found the issue, it is now fixed. Can you try the attached file (HAP.AD.dll) extract it to ~/bin/ and see if it fixes the issue
wdwm Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 (edited) Thankyou Nick, have done as requested and now have a new error! This is creating a new admin ticket. The specified string is not in the form required for an e-mail address. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.FormatException: The specified string is not in the form required for an e-mail address. Source Error: An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below. With this stack trace. Display names are also now listed in booking calendar dropdown selection, but I'm still getting 'Outside bounds of array' error when I create a booking and the new booking also only displays the username not the display name. Sorry for being a pain! Edit: Creating a non-admin ticket functions fine in help desk. Edited September 24, 2011 by wdwm
nickbro Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Ok, figured this one out, it's caused by not preexisting tickets. I've corrected the code. Will be released with the v7.5 release. If you create a non-admin ticket, the admin ticket should start working as well 1
wdwm Posted September 24, 2011 Author Posted September 24, 2011 Thanks Nick, any idea what could be wrong with my calendar settings causing the 'Out of Bounds' thing in Room Booking?
nickbro Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 I'm hoping that it will also be fixed in the v7.5 release
