Bev Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I understand Becta used to have guidelines on teh expected number of PCs to Students in a school. Becta is gone, does anyone know if there are still guidelines? We have OFSTED looming and I've been asked to find out.
featured_spectre Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Depending on the schools now. BECTA is defunct so some have 1:7, some have 1:2. Most aim for 1:1 though
GrumbleDook Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 The Department for Education has yet to firm up a number of things looking at Technology ... the general mantra is that any previous guidance may not reflect present government policy yet if it is not replaced by what the present policy is then you won't get shouted at ... and that is not written down anywhere, of course. Have you asked the question formally?
GrumbleDook Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I've had the following link sent to me which might also help, the report from BESA. http://www.besa.org.uk/besa/documents/grab/BESA_ICT2010_summary.pdf?item=1467&file=1
