Recently deployed 3 new laptops. One works fine but the other 2 (both HP 625s) just won't print over the network.

The server is running 2003, and the printers are a HP LJ 1010 and a HP ColourLJ 2600n.

The 2600 driver went in no probs, but all 3 laptops needed the HP Universal Print driver to get the 100 to go. As I say, one laptop is fine, but when you print to either printer from the other 2, you get an exclamation mark and an error...with no explaination.

Any ideas? Drivers have been played around with, given full admin controls to account etc.

I have created a how to for my technicians on how to get the HP 1010 install on a win7 machine. Its something to do with the dot4 driver which was causing the problem and making the printer respond after 30 secs of telling the printer to print. If you want i can up losd it if you want... I have used the laserjet xp drivers for it.
