Realtek HD Audio output not an option with M-Audio Delta 1010LT Multi

Having setup our 5 new music machines during the summer holiday 2 of them will not output audio. The machines have a realtek on baord sound card with an M-Audio Delta 1010LT for input of keyboards and other instruments. On the two machines which arnt working the realtek HD device isn't reconised but the drivers are installed. Under windows volume controls > options > properties the only options for mixer devices are the M-Audio equiptment, those which do work have both the M-Audio equiptment and the Realtek HD output.

Ive tryed removing the drivers for the M-Audio and Realtek then just install the realtek drivers but still the same problem...

Have you checked in the bios to make sure the advanced features of the card are enabled. Some boards had a setting to disable it so that backward rubbish like XP could handle it without all the additional drivers.

Just use the Maudio outputs, they are going to be a gazillian times better than the realtek ones?

The M-Audio has no 3.5mm jack and the students often used headphones in the front ports. Thanks SYNACK I didnt think to look at bios level and you were right it was disabled for some reason -_-

Aye but the music software will be using ASIO drivers which the realtek doesn't have so... get an adaptor. It's sorted anyway but have a look at your music softwares settings as if it is using the realtek card at all it is set up incorrectly - unless you are using ASIO4ALL which imo is a bit daft if you've payed all that money for a proper soundcard with native ASIO drivers.
