Msi All in One

We are thinking about purchasing a suite of MSI All in Ones but I have never had any dealings with this company.

 

Has anyone any of these and are they any good?

Have you any comments?

Whats the 3 year warranty like and do they have any problems?

Which model are you looking at?

 

Although the warranty is collect and return like a notebook the repair facility is thier own (not contracted out) and can repair all the way down to component level on the mainboards.

from the last lot of MSI hardware we had (got rid last summer) it was awful when they bought it and even worse when we got rid

I've dealt with them a few times and found the service hasn't been the best and neither has the price

 

Personally, I'd look at other options

I agree, Stone are good. I've also heard good things about the Acer all in ones and they're a good price.

I've been building PCs for over 10 years, i've always stayed clear of MSI stuff.

MSI are imo the cheap low quality brand that I never buy.

Have you looked at the Dell Inspiron One 2205's??? Just got loads for another school and they love them! Good prices too

yes and one turned up but they dont have the vesa wall mounts on the back.

I think stone computers are great too but the library has been designed about a dell vostro all in one that they have taken out of production and the latest versions do not have the vesa connection on the back. I am coming across the problem that we can get what we want but companies are quoting a lead time of up to 8 weeks as companies are making them to order and not keeping stocks due to the financial climate. The other models like the msi have not got the proven track record of companies like dell and stone but they claim to be able to deliver quickly. As the library needs to be completed urgantly we are considering all options.

I'm sure I'll be able to sort some vesa mounts on the back. I'm 99% certain that the ones I bought recently had vesa mounts. If you want to pm me the detail of the specs you need and the number of machines, I'll get on it first thing in the morning.
