LukeC Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 I have installed a new smartboard and wireless module and seem to be having issues. The dongle and the reciever seems to be communicating with each other (both got a little green light on them that flashes and is now solid), but the light on the smartboard is constant red. I have tried a reset of the board and "re-pairing" the devices but still no luck, when i try and connect through the smart software it can not see the devices. I have also connected via a usb cable to do a firmware upgrade - the green light flashes at me now. But going through the firmware stages it can not see the board via the usb so i cant do the upgrade. Has anyone got any other suggestions i am going to try a different laptop at lunch time. Thanks
jtotheb Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 The board not seeing the wireless receiver can definitely be a firmware issue. I've had old 680 boards (4 years+) that wouldn't see the bluetooth kit without a newer firmware. Before hooking up the USB to do a firmware upgrade unscrew and remove the bluetooth kit from the back of the board. I hope that helps.
LukeC Posted September 7, 2011 Author Posted September 7, 2011 Thanks didnt think tot take the bluetooth kit off will give it ago
