New Laptop - Sticky Pad

I have just bought a new laptop from from BT Business on their very attractive offer (£200 cashback) for a Samsung 200B. Has anyone else got one of these as I am wondering if the mousepad is faulty. My problem is I used to have a lovely lenovo which had a nipple (fnaar) so I am not used to pads. Its a daft pad which goes right up to the buttons and others have tried it and it seems fine but with me it keeps stopping (except when I want to show people). It might be I am just accidentally touching it wrong but its very annoying..its got a thing which allows 2 finger pinching which I have turned off. I have played with the settings and updating the drivers and its very intermittent but concerened it may be faulty.
