Any idea on how to find the hardware reported manufcture time/date in OSX

Hey Guys,

 

Anyone know how for the love of all that is holy do I find the hardware reported manufacture time/date in OSX??

 

I have some asset discovery software showing some odd dates and I need to verify them, but cannot find how to do so.

(Blooming system profiler absolutely no use)

There's an app in the mac store that I used to find some specs for a mac. If you haven't a machine that can run the mac app store then you can download it from their website. Both are free.

If you have the serial numbers to hand you can type the last 3 or 4 characters into EveryMac's Ultimate Mac Lookup webpage to find the exact date of manufacturer (check "Intro Date"). e.g. 19X = 03/03/2009.

Cheers guys, after much digging and bashing head against my monitor have found that the manufacture date is being

pulled from the start of the serial number rather than some hidden attribute and have found this rather useful site;
