I've got about £700 to spend on a new TV

 

Been looking at the samsung range of 3d televsions

 

Any thoughts? my head hurts with looking

There are a few threads around on TV's, its a subject a few people have been looking into recently it seems!

 

2 weeks ago i bought and had installed a Sony Bravia KDL-40CX523 (at the moment they have an offer on that you get a free wireless dongle for the TV worth £100) and it cost £599 with a 5 year manufacturer warranty.

 

It has 'widgets' inbuilt for stuff like iplayer, lovefilm, youtube etc (which is why you need the wireless dongle) and i've been mighty impressed with it. It's a good looking TV and i'm more than happy with it

 

It isn't 3D but i do wonder for £700 what sort of quality you'll get in the 3D range.....

 

When i was looking around a few people put me off Samsung (some people also recommended them though!!).

I always go for Panasonics because of the quality, and its what the TV repair men say are most reliable and long lasting. Caretakers 2 year old Toshiba LCD broke, when the Engineer came out he asked which brand do they go out the least to, he said Panasonics. When the other caretakers son dropped water down the back of his 50" Pannasonic Plasma by accident when watering a plant, the engineer said this is the first time he has had to come out to a Panasonic as they generally do not go wrong.

 

But you will not get a 3D Panasonic for £700 i do not think.

 

Panasonic also have Pionners Kuro technology for the plasma screens

I always go for Panasonics because of the quality

 

One of the reasons i went for my Sony, the Bravia range and the Panasonic Viera ranges are probably the 2 'best known' TV ranges out there........

Hi all,

 

2 weeks ago i bought a Samsung 3d tv - UE46D6100 and it's amazing. It's got it all, smart tv, 2d to 3d technology (which isn't brill but it's cool to show people) as well as downloadable apps, skype etc etc.

 

If you look hard enough, you can get a 3d blu ray player and a few glassed in with it.

 

It cost me £1300ish in all but i got 6 pairs of glasses. If your thinking of 42", i'd get 46" because they have no bezel so it doesn't appear as big in your room. Plus i think it's bigger the better in 3d tvs to get a really good experience!
