esxi vsphere where do i enter the serial number

downloaded esxi and got vshpere installed on my workstation. have been emailled a serial number but cannot figure out where to enter it...

From memory, in the vSphere console select the host (in the lefthand pane), take the Configuration tab (on the right) and there should be a Licensing option on the bottom half of the menu in the righthand pane (where the top half contains other menu options like Storage and Network).

The licensing tab is very hidden. But from memory @Martin is right.

Yup,

 

just checked and it is under "Licensed Features" in the "Software" section on the "Configuration" tab - then click "Edit..." on the top right.
