Hi,

Very impressed with HAP, recently implemented it here.

We've set it up on a Server 2008 R2 web server (no other roles) with IIS 7.5. Everything works as intended but we have noticed that there is a considerable delay after entering login details, to being shown the HAP home screen. The delay is somewhere in the region of 25-30 seconds on average.

Do you have any idea why this might be happening? We're using an external subdomain with ssl.

Thanks,

Pete

is it just for the domain admins? If so it could be the system checking for updates, you can stop this by removing the update checker code from default.aspx

Hi Nick,

I completely forgot that we had narrowed it down to admins! Terrible testing policy :o)

How does the update checker work? We might as well leave it in if it's only us techs that are affected.

Thanks for the response,

Pete

HI

Some where in the back of my head we had a problem like this and it was the authentication protocol order and I am guessing here it was under In Features View, double-click Authentication.

On the Authentication page, select Windows Authentication. I am sorry I cannot get to the server. The other problem we had was the server was not the correct time and kerboros was not working and it was using another auth protocol.
