randle Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Hi I'm looking to set the Windows 7 start menu to remember recent applications opened but having not found the GP setting myself I'm a little stuck. I've been told that Microsoft have removed the ability to set this in Windows 7 in this way. I find this hard to believe and was wondering whether anyone can point me in the right direction. I've found the "Remove frequent programs list from the Start Menu" setting but this is a legacy setting and is already set to disabled anyway.
burgemaster Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Hi. It works for our staff. If you are on about the list of 5 recently loaded application on the left of the start menu? Will look for you in the settings tomorrow
randle Posted July 21, 2011 Author Posted July 21, 2011 That's the badger. I know where the option is to set this manually, it's the GP setting I'm after!!
randle Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 If anyone's interested you can control this using GPP->Start menu. Preferences really are making my life easier!!
