oalcock Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 Hello, I would appreciate some advice, we have a HP Designjet 815 MFP Printer (Q1279A). The scanner part of the machine has an LCD display which has started to warn users that a Maintenance Kit is required soon. I believe the message pops up after a certain time or after a certain amount of prints as apposed to when the maintenance is actually required. The maintenance kit includes an LCD glass, a bulb and a man to look at the machine and patt it nicely like a dog. The prices for this maintenance start from £532.00 from a company we have never heard of or £800 from HP. Does anybody know of any famous key functions that will reset the maintenance warning? A week after the maintenance message appears, aparantley the scanner becomes un-usable. Oliver.
