wesleyw Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Is there anyway of stopping moodle polling directory sizes under the files option. Wes
Geoff Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 No, but you can tell it where 'du' is and speed things up massively.
wesleyw Posted March 29, 2007 Author Posted March 29, 2007 How? Also Geoff is it possible to stop pupils being able to delete files in the files section in courses or anywhere else for that matter? Using Mount Points, Samba and Symbolic Links I've cobbled together our shared area into moodle as it's main repository, I'm getting someone to write a better method into moodle however it means that because moodle has full access so to do the pupils? Wes
Geoff Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 How? On my 1.7 install it's under Admin -> Server -> Path to du. Which I have set to '/usr/bin/du' which is correct for Ubuntu. Also Geoff is it possible to stop pupils being able to delete files in the files section in courses or anywhere else for that matter? in moodle? configuring the roles should be sufficent.

wesleyw Posted March 29, 2007 Author Posted March 29, 2007 Also has anyone managed to get E-Portfolio working on their Moodle installation as yet? If not what are you guys using? Wes
wesleyw Posted March 29, 2007 Author Posted March 29, 2007 Yeah it's just called the Portfolio Module? Wes
Geoff Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 I'll stick it on our 1.8 test server and see what happens. We've looked at Elgg for doing E-Portfolios in the past. http://elgg.org/
