LDIFDE Create group command

now do gang.

 

Im having a bit of a dumb day to day and i call for a little help :-)

 

created a a filie called newgroup.ldf with the following text in it

 

dn: CN=Management,OU=Marketing,DC=Contoso.DC=com

changetype: add

cn: Management

objectclass: group

samAccountName: Marketing

 

with that saved to the C: drice on my server i have entered the following command in cmd

 

ldifde -i -f newgroup.ldf -s server01

 

im getting the following error:

 

C:\>ldifde -i -f c:\newgroup.ldf -s server01

Connecting to "server01"

Logging in as current user using SSPI

Importing directory from file "c:\newgroup.ldf"

Loading entries.

Add error on line 1: Invalid DN Syntax

The server side error is "The object name has bad syntax."

0 entries modified successfully.

An error has occurred in the program

No log files were written. In order to generate a log file, please

specify the log file path via the -j option.

 

any ideas what i could be doing wrong?

Shouldn't:

 

CN=Management,OU=Marketing,DC=Contoso.DC=com

 

Be:

 

CN=Management,OU=Marketing,DC=Contoso,DC=com???

 

There's a dot instead of a comma.
