Exchange 2010 - Recieved Messages

Hi everyone,

 

I have setup exchange and it works perfect, it can send and receive from the internet and locally but one thing is bugging me and I need some help on how to solve the issue.

 

Sending and Receiving mails is fine but in the headers it says that the mail comes from server.mydomain.local - I would rather this read server.mydomain.co.uk for security reasons.

 

Anybody know how to change it - my default Hub Transport Accepted Domain is set to .co.uk by default but it still says local in the headers.

 

Any Ideas ?

you need to change smtp default also if you keep at something.local smtp setting most emails with go to spam

Yeah I dont want it going into spam!! where abouts do I change the smtp default in the Exchange Console ?

If I remember -> org config -> hub transport -> accepted domains -> then set something.com as default

I have changed the default in those options to .co.uk but still no change - could it be because I'm sending mail from the OWA ?

Have you come out of console and back in? does creating a new user use the .co.uk default?

Yeah I've restarted the server, I have had problems with a new user - I created one but then they couldn't connect Outlook - it would just bring up a login box everytime they tried to send/receive and even with the correct credentials the box would keep re-appearing.
