Guest Guest Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 It wouldn't look like this unless there pished when they did lmao LE MANS CARLSBERG CALIBRA CONVERTABLE CUSTOM MODIFIED | eBay UK Shamelessly nicked from another forum, but take a look at that soft top - looks like a tent put up by someone half cut
aerospacemango Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 To be honest.............. If I had a spare grand and a half, I'd buy it just for weekend driving! Had a Calibra before, so I know how nice they are to drive....and that would deffo turn a few heads!
teejay Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Ah, someone else who likes a chuckle on the Barry site

Under steer galore and then when you regained grip the back end would swing side to side like a capri on ice! I did love the size of it mind. 4 full sized adults in it no problem, not like my mr2 lol
Andrew_C Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 NOT, BUGATTI, FARARI,PORSCHE,LOTUS,ZONDA, ASTON MARTIN No sh!t Sherlock
morganw Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 I particularly like the rear "portholes" in the soft top.
synaesthesia Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 I love the Calibra and was lucky enough to drive an SR6 for a day when I was around 20. It might have been a Cav in a skirt but I liked it never-the-less and it was very nice to drive. That shed though - tsk tsk! Worst part of it all, aside from the "lifted from an MGB" lid, is that bloody Alfa grill - the front of a Calibra was my favourite look in a car, all mean and slim looking. Then they slap that thing on it - nnngh! No self respecting person want's anything remotely Alfa related attached to anything else... even a Vauxhall!
aerospacemango Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Let me make one thing clear.............. I LOVED my Calibra, understeer and all! I'd had a Capri, back in the day, and loved the way that that car drove. The Calibra was very similar. Throwing it into a bend and tearing out onto a straight was fantastic! It had power galore, and was brilliant to drive.....Much like the Capri! No....it's not a Ferrari/Porsche/Lambo?maserati, but it had lots of fun on a budget, and if you can find that, then you're doing well!
Guest Guest Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 and if you can find that, then you're doing well! Aye, if you can find one. I saw one the other week for the first time in what seems years. Was in really good condition too. I wish they would make cars that looked nice again, even the cav was a good looking car and that was just a "boring" cheap family car. It would seem the last few years have killed off most How Many Left?
