media embeded in powerpoint and working on moodle

Hi All,

 

i have a member of staff here thats asking us for a soloution for our moodle.

the requirements are to have a video embeded on a powerpoint thats sat on our moodle server

 

i have run out of idears now HELP

Could try Pack and Go-ing the powerpoint so it updates all the links and stores the files in one folder and then upload the powerpoint and video to the same location on moodle and see if that does it?

 

It might just try and reference the video from the temp file location when you open the video though... (unless I'm missing the way to properly embed it)

You cannot embed movie files into powerpoint presentations.

 

The best you can do is convert the video to flash and embed that.

 

However the best solution imo is to put the movies in a shared network location and link them in the presentation from there.

worked out a soloution i spring embed video in ppt and then publish it makes it as a web page with video included

You cannot embed movie files into powerpoint presentations.

You can as of PowerPoint 2010. It's also possible to edit the video from within PowerPoint...
