Starting to get there with my google cal display

Listing calendar contents

 

But I'd my display to alternate (say every 30 secs) between a region with the above in it and another one just showing the standard monthly view iframe.

 

Can Xibo do this?

 

[EDIT] Sussed out just to add a new element to the region and Xibo jsut sequences them - which is jsut what I want[/EDIT]

But the iframe page

I get the publisher message too. No content at all in chrome but error in IE

 

Edit: I think it must be a google limitation as if I open in a new window it asks for google log on details

The machine I'm on is logged into the google account - I'll need to find a way around using the private cal feed using magic url wizardry

Don't want to do that as may contain items that a school wouldn't want public(parents) to see, so need to use private feed

or create a account for that PC on google..and keep it loged in.

Worth trying but I think Xibo won't "see" the browser logged on setting - I'll try it though.

I've had some success in creating a page similar to yours with a private shared url. I think you may have to use this and create a month view page with the same url. Maybe borrow some of the google code to make it a similar look. The API for the calendar has examples of this but I can't find an exact thing for what you want to do.

Xibo does with Some websites - but not with all!

 

I have Nagios setup which doesn't like it (easy to fix as just put user/pass in url string) but i have others (like helpdesk) which works!

I've got a "magic cookie" iframe version working on a browser in another school and I'm not logged into the account

where magic = string from private XML feed.)

 

so hopefully it'll work within Xibo when I go back in tomorrow

I've come up with another layout prototype

which looks to maybe be a better arrangement.

 

And to let others start playing, I'm going to separate the formating/display code from the "get a cached feed and parse it to just extract the necessay info" so anyoone else can have play without having to decode my non-structured/non-oo/badly written php
