chazzy2501 Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 I have setup my mediaserver links with it's external IP address which works fine outside of the school network. I've made a route add command for my workstations to redirect and was thinking of away to deploy the cmd "route add 217.179.55.12 10.44.8.24 metric 1". This works great but I just thought that I maybe able to do this using my ISA server anyone know how I'd do this?
ChrisMiles Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Probably you could do this with ISA but the easiest way is using locally hostesd DNS zones for your external dns names, assuming you have any ofc.
chazzy2501 Posted June 27, 2011 Author Posted June 27, 2011 Nope, that was the pickle I put myself in by forgetting to request an external DNS name for the server! otherwise I'd just changed the DNS records as you say! I was worried about the length of the MMS links having just an ip shortend them alot.
