Heh : was just looking for a photograph showing the difference in slot distances from a DDR to a DDR2 SODIMM.

had someone at the pc shop i used to work at do that (pc not laptop) hammered in litteraly 4 sticks of the wrong type of ram then wanted us to replace his motherboard and the ram lol

I'd not be able to contain myself and remain professional in those circumstances. There's never an excuse for doing that. We all make mistakes but if you don't know, there's no excuse for not asking someone who does - be that the guy that fixes your IT problems/your school techy, the guy next door or Google.

I've seen 'modified' graphics cards and RAM in the past. Why do people do this kind of stuff?!?! Only last week I was reading a blog written by a printer engineer who had to strip a laser printer apart to remove the toner cartridge that had been jammed in by the customer who had resorted to sawing a couple of the lugs off so that it would 'fit'......

stick the URL into google, then follow the google result and scroll to the bottom of the experts exchange page

^ Favourite workaround - it's easy to adjust the part of most browsers which tells websites what browser you have - you'd be surprised at what you can see if you just make websites think you're a google spider/bot.

Don't bother with any browser changes, just hit cached result on google (at least it works on my pc/phone) Go go google power!
