I am trying to do the simplest thing, get the clients to have internet access through the server using NAT in RRAS.

Setup is as follows:

New install of S2008R2 as a DC

New install of Win7 on client

Server is running DHCP, DNS & RRAS, has two nic's, one connected to DSL and one internal.

DNS is working fine, forwarders are active and working.

On client I can ping the server and if I ping (for eg) yahoo.com it resolves the DNS fine but the request times out.

I was under the impression that the only setup I needed to have in RRAS NAT was to install it and have the two nic's assigned correctly, which it did automatically.

I've turned off all firewalls. I don't think I need to set up a specific static route so I've not gone down that road.

What am I missing?

Apologies if this has been asked before, I had a look but didn't see anything immediately relevant.

Thanks,

Niall.
