[ms office - 2010] Access Update Query...

I've been asked to update the Assets we have recorded in our main database, the site staff wish to update with a complete new log.

However they don't want to wipe the database and start again, they want to have a character placed at the start of the existing Assit IDs...

 

I know what I'm looking to do, just can't remember what I've got to do to get the results I want...

Never mind, I've remembered...!

 

Just for those who would like to know...

 

In the update query enter the cell you want to update and in the Update To bit enter the following:

 

"Characters"&[Cell Name]

 

Making sure that the cell name is the same as the one you are updating... If you're doing it the same way as me that is...
