Flash player problem: animoto & Prezi

A couple of websites (Animoto - Video Slideshow Maker with Music and Prezi - The Zooming Presentation Editor) will only display correctly for staff - students get a text only page and the Flash video components don't work at all. Animoto bleats about wrong version of Flash and Prezi refers you to support. Flash 10.3 is installed and other flash-based sites work OK. Animoto support says "upgrade Flash" and I say "read my lips" and I'm waiting for prezi support to get back to me. However since this is happening with a couple of sites I think it may be more generic. Did Flash 10 to something fancy to permissions? Any insights from anyone gratefully recieved.
