garethEds Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Evening,For those who understand kms - can you only have one per enterprise domain? Our LEA have an enterprise domain with each school running it's own OU with delegated access. We have setup our kms server but something tells me you can only have one per domain. Is this true? As such we have turned ours off for now.Any advice appreciated.Gareth
FN-GM Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 I think you can have more than one. You would have to point your clients to the KMS server with a batch file though. If you use the DNS method every other school will be using your KMS.
AngryTechnician Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 If the schools are in different DNS zones you should be able to have 1 per DNS zone, I would have thought?
teejay Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 You can have up to 5 per domain, but you need to set up the SRV records manually. You are best speaking to your LA to see if they are providing a KMS service.
