Abacus I planner

Does abacus I planner work in win7 native.

 

If not does it work in win7 xp mode?

in win 7 xp mode every program would work if it worked ok in win xp, as it is a virtual version of win xp. When you install a program on the xp mode virtual pc on your win 7 start menu in virtual pc then Windows XP Mode Applications the programs will apper their and you can run them like they are running windows 7.

 

Im not sure what Abacus I planners compatability is but if it not working in windows 7 and not work in compatibiliy mode then xp mode may be the best

It does work in Win 7, it's a faff but it will work. Start the install as normal it will then tell you it's not compatible and run the compatibilty troubleshooter, select XP and needs administrator rights. I haven't installed it for a while but I seem to remember it takes two attempts at this point! It will then install and work as normal.

i couldnt get it to work on win7 (but i was using x64) it does work in xp mode BUT you also need to install office in xp mode for some of its features

Yeah mine are Win 7 32 bit.

This is a home premium machine.

To get it to install,i went into Control Panel, compatibility troubleshooter and ran the setup as win xp sp3 with additional permissions. It seems to have installed ok.
