Then user fails to logon with user profile service failed the logon with the same error as above.

 

It only happens for student accounts ive been trying to get my head around it but have just had no luck whatsoever. Ive tried deleting the account from advanced system settings and letting it recreate the account but still doesnt work. I have also tried giving the student local admin access temporarily but that doesnt work either, Tried a staff account and that brings up the normal windows desktop and logs on but you get the userinit logon application has stopped working. Its weird though because we have a year 11 logon that we use and that just logs on perfectly. Its definately machine based because on another windows 7 machine we've just built all these log ons work ok. Domain admin accounts work fine aswell. Anyone any ideas?

Sorry if this is a dumb comment, I did not really research. Off the top of my head my first question would be if the folder permissions are the same on the new and old systems.

 

You can try to create a new test student account, log on and see if you get the error. If you do try changing that account from a student account to a staff account and see if you have the same problem. This may point to a permissions issue.
