crc-ict Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Hi All, I am hoping someone can help me with this puzzle! I am wanting to set up an IMAP mail server which can be set up to automatically collect the messages from a handful of external POP accounts and deliver them to one of two IMAP accounts on the local server ready for collection from there. I want to get this working on my home server so that I can have my e-mail archive accessible from any of my computers, and possibly even from online. I am in the process of redeveloping my home server, so I'm not fussed whether I have to do it on my Debian box, or do have access to Windows Server 2000 which is another option. Main stipulation is that it needs to be relatively straightforward, and free! I believe Exchange could do what I want, but it is way too expensive. Any thoughts? Cheers, Chris.
Geoff Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 You can use fetchmail to do this, install it on your debian box.
