cpjitservices Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Hi guys, I have rolled out Terminal Services on Server 2008 R2 for a company I used to work for, it worked perfect the users could go home and browse to our web domain and login and use apps straight from the server - I was wondering could something like this be implemented in a Linux server environment ? there'd be no Microsoft stuff to be accessed just pure Linux Servers but probarbly if users access the online terminal services on Linux they'd be using a Windows PC - the apps of course might be Open Office or something similar. I've looked on google but I can mainly only find thing client stuff - thats not really what I'm after. Any body any ideas.? Thanks

Yes - you could could have people connect via FreeNX, as pointed out above, VNC, A Windows X-Windows client, or you can even get an RDP server for Linux so you can use the Remote Desktop Connection client in Windows to connect to your Linux server. 1
