We are experimenting and thinking about implementing VM-View workstations in certain locations next year. The one thing we are at a loss as to how to test/deploy is printers. Printers currently are pushed to machines based on naming and OU structure. If we are using VIEW, how can we without writing a script asking the user for a room number, deploy printer connections without having to list every printer in a building and trust the user to pick the right one?

Not sure if this is the correct way, but in my testing prior to implementing View I've found that you can publish the printer to the client machine that you are going to connect to view from. When running the vm it picks up the printer from the client machine, so users should only see the assigned printer.

Would be interested to know if there's a better way to do it though.
