We have a trust to our local council as we have their staff working on our machines etc.

We have a group policy which is a loopback one to replace. I have created an OU and applied filtering so that COUNCIL\Domain Users only get it as it is a user policy.

These settings are not pulling through and neither is the login script which is set in the profile tab on the council AD.

We can view their network and this was working but we are unsure when this stopped.

When I try and do a gpresult from within Help & Support I get invalid namespace. This is happening on a variety of machines.

Any ideas as I am pulling my hair out here!

The invalid namespace leads to a DNS issue. Check the GPO and make sure that the domain is referenced correctly, use FQDN where possible.

What client OS are you running?

Right created an OU and blocked inheritance on this and just applied the one policy and it applied. It looks like another group policy could be conflicting with this if this is at all possible.

I am going to apply the policies one at a time till it breaks!
