flexyjerkov Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 When I connect to the minecraft edugeek server it seems to be missing huge chunks of it and I keep falling off the map. Is this meerly a download issue and the map needs to download?
Irazmus Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 That issue is usually due to lag between the server and client and is an issue known to Mojang. One work around if the missing chunks are few in number is to modify a block adjacent to the missing chunk (placing a torch is enough), which forces the client to update the chunk, rendering it visible and usable again. Although if half the map is missing, a relog tends to work better. This does assume it's not your Internet connection that's lagged, as obviously that has a different fix
localzuk Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 256k I'm playing over so not wizzy wizzy. I'd think that was a bit slow. I run on about 7Mmbps down 400kbps up and I get the occasional lag issue too.
