glennda Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Does anybody know a way to bulk import photos into powerpoint (2003/2010)? I want to try and put one on each slide so they can be randomized for the last day of term. Or anybody think of another way to randomly cycle through pictures from a folder? We are going to embarress all the Year 11's in there leavers assembly by putting there Yr7 photos on the projector!
sted Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 can media player play folder full of pics on random play?
quietriot1983 Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 can media player play folder full of pics on random play? Yes. Easiest way to do it really.
cromertech Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Powerpoint 2010 can create a slide show from a folder of images. It's called a photo album and it's in the insert menu 1
glennda Posted May 18, 2011 Author Posted May 18, 2011 Thats what i wanted to know about powerpoint! Cheers
glennda Posted May 18, 2011 Author Posted May 18, 2011 (edited) Do you know if there is a cycle feature - i can't see it from setup show? Edited May 18, 2011 by glennda
cromertech Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 I think you'll have to click played at a kiosk in there and it will loop. Edit: Make sure you give some timing on the slides or it will do nothing

cromertech Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 I don't think it will do random by itself. You could do it with a macro but there my knowledge stops or at least slows down

cromertech Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Just in case you want to play with the macro thing I found this Sub randjump() randomize Dim Inum As Integer Inum = Int(7 * Rnd + 4) ActivePresentation.SlideShowWindow.View.GotoSlide (Inum) End Sub that will randomise the slide order but is triggered from a click so you would to add a timer to it to make it wait instead Found on PowerPoint vba code samples
glennda Posted May 18, 2011 Author Posted May 18, 2011 Cool Will look at that in a min - meeting first!
