Hi everybody

I had a look and could not find an answer to my question.

So, i was wondering:

say you have set up MRBS to allow users to book from 9.00 to 18.00 (half our intervals). Is it possible not to allow particular hours such as 13.00-14.00 within the allow time range (the same way you may not allow Wednesdays, for example)?

Thank you in advance...

We've set up the room booking system on a period system as opposed to times. (P1, P2, P3, P4, Lunch, P5, Afterschool)

That way we don't rely on actual times and it makes for better reading as well.

Best way I can think of you keeping your current system and blocking booking for a particular time of day is just to set up a repeating entry during the times you want booking to be unavailbe (assuming people can't edit it).

There may be other ways but this is how I would do it.

thanx for your answer.

as the booking is about a lab instrument and not for teaching periods, the period system is not convenient.

I have also though of booking myself (as an admin) the particular hours for like 4-5 years and you are right, it will do the job. But i am wondering if there is any other, more elegant, way (i.e. a piece of code)...

There is no built in method for this, apart from making a booking yourself as an admin. You can setup a new type of booking in the config file, and edit the css so it shows up differently. We do our holidays and half-term breaks this way, and it works well.

Like Chris_Cook, we block book the areas we don't want booked. With the repeat function and the multi room selection this is often a single booking to block out the lot.
