techie211 Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 hello ppl, our district is a windows server 2003 network. We are bringing in a windows 2008 server which is only going to be a member server. I know if a DC adprep needs to be run. but not sure about a member server. any input on this is apprectiated.
DAZZD88 Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I'm pretty sure that if it's going to be a member server then it doesn't need adprep running (as you surmised). 1
plexer Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 No adprep needed for a 2008 member server it's only required when adding a 2008 domain controller. Ben 1

sukh Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 As mentioned above, you dont need to, but why not? Have you got application dependencies on the 2003 Scheme? If not, then do it, will have to at some point. Sukh
