live@edu calendars - why are there two!?!? Please help

Hi, we kinda decided on live@edu over google apps for the schools email etc

 

But, why do we have two calendars.

If we go to the inbox there's a calendar there.

We found this one to be a little clunky, when we added additional calendars they displayed side by side instead of all within one colour co-ordinated like google

But then, clicking on hotmail above and calendar from the drop down gave us a second calendar - this one being a lot better - but we're yet to share calendars with it yet

 

the problem being staff and pupils here (pupils especially, we're a SEN school) will really, really struggle with there being two - they'll always be on the wrong one!

 

Are either removeable?

 

Also, can we get rid of the hotmail elements (and logo look) at the same time?
