Good morning guys! My first of hopefully many posts :)

I am managing about 450 computers on the network and I am looking at purchasing some desktop management software. I have recently found a good piece of software that I think I want to invest in but I'm really just doing some reseach in to purchasing at the moment.

Has anyone had any experience with Desktop Central 7 looks like a great piece of kit, not a bad price too.

I am hoping someone on here has had some experience, or could give me some alternatives to have a look at!

Cheers

Dean

Hi DeanUK And welcome to the forum, Yep Desktop Central looks the biz - theres a few more on the market though don't know wether you've looked or are interested -

iTalc is a good one and has a lot of coverage on here. iTALC -

there is also spiceworks which is monitoring software Free Network Monitoring Software | Spiceworks Free Network Management Software

and also check out Net Support Welcome to the home of NetSupport

there are a few others but off the top of my head all I can think of.

I am currently using spiceworks and not very impressed with it and to be honest iTALC doesn't look like what I am looking for. I'm not really looking for something where I can do classroom management but where I can do an inventory, remote support, os deployment and standardisation across the whole network.

The manage engine software is the only kit I have found that can do this so far.

Actually looking at NetSupport it looks like it is what I need which is interesting, might see if I can get a quote and see how it runs against Desktop Central 7, I wonder if I can get a trial of the software. Edited by Deanuk
