Kyle Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 IF you go to Network Neighbourhood>Entire Network and you can see all the computers currently switched/logged onto the domain. What i have found is that this is sometimes not in real time. I know if i shut a room full of PCs down with a script it can take ages/up to an hour before they are removed from Network Neighbourhood>Entire Network. Does anyone know why this is or if there is a quick way to refresh this so it only shows machines that are really on/live?
localzuk Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Take a look at http://www.chicagotech.net/browser.htm as it explains the browser service quite well and indicates some common issues and how to fix them. Also, take a look at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/188001 for some specifics regarding propagation times and other details.
FN-GM Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 sorry to drag up an old post. Please can i have a copy of that script kyle. Thanks
