bondbill2k2 Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Having carried out the spring updates during the holidays for Sims and Pars.net I have returned to find an error messege on all machines attempting to run Pars. Sims will load up fine, Pars will show a red error bar on its loader wiht "bootstrap upgrade required" then give the following Microsoft .net framework error report: The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy. The operations required the securityexception. etc.... Request for the permission of type System.SEcurity.Permissions.SecurityPermissions, mcorlib, version=1.0.5000.0, Culture=neutral. sjames321 Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Hi, It's likely to be your permissions on the local PARS folder (c:\program files\sims\PARS .net), specifically the ability of renamer.exe to rename files in that folder. You may find that running PARS with a /C switch on the shortcut target line will be enough to get PARS running again: right click the shortcut -> properties -> the "Target" line should read: "C:\Program Files\SIMS\PARS .net\Bootstrap.exe" PARS /C Once PARS is working, delete the /C so it doesn't update every time you run it. If that fails then delete the local PARS folder and reinstall. Call the helpdesk if you have any problems: 01902 824281
