One Master image to rule them all?

I am trying to make a master image that i can fog on to all my various XP machines.

Not successful so far but I'm giving it a go.

I have an image that is fine on one computer, a fujitsu, but if i try to deply it to an eee box it moans about graphics drivers not having passed windows logo testing.

It asks if I want to continue installing this.

I'm quite happy for it to not install it but I can't figute out what I need to do to the image to stop it asking.

 

Has anyone else had much success trying this?

installing a signed driver for the video card rather than an unsigned one will probably fix the issue

Take a look at Slim Jims

 

I created a video tutorial of how to do this a few weeks ago. Just testing it today here actually, and so far out of 6 different hardware types my image works on all of them without fail. I know it says WDS but it should work just as well for FOG.

Can I ask a question about you video part 1?

When you have the drivers at 9:34 you have them all in a folder called "D" and a bunch of ini files beginning with driverpack...

 

When I unzip them they don't look like that!

 

Did you have to move them into this structure?

I downloaded all the packs in ZIP format, then selected them all and extracted to the same folder - this can be done with 7zip easily and saved mucking on copying each driver type manually.

What OS are you trying to image? If it is XP, we have our sysprep.inf file look at a folder on the C drive with all the drivers in. It is currently about 200mb but will be cut down soon. If you want, i can send you an example of it.
