Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I've got 2 networks in different buildings. The buildings aren't connected by any means other than the internet.

I need to sync the AD/users passwords on both servers, so if a user on network A changes their password it'll get changed on network B and vice versa.

One network is running Server 2003 R2 Enterprise the other Server 2008 R2 Standard

After a bit of googling I need to setup sites and services? But I've no idea what I need to do.

I've got a VPN connection between the two so I'm hoping to use that to securely sync it.

Cheers. :D

I can find out how it works later, I just want to get it working first.

I've already read that but it doesn't actually tell you how to set it up, just how it all works.

Cheers.

So, Right hang on a minute!

The 2 domain controllers that you have, are they separate domains?

If so you are going to have to setup a Domain Trust between the two different domains.

How come the 2nd box was not just promoted to a DC when it was done?

@Gaz - Tells you how it works, from here you can config.

1. Is the VPN connection permenent?

2. Create a Site/Subnet/IP ranges for each site in AD.

3. Make sure that each DC is under it's own site

4. Verify replication.
