yugo Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Anyone else having problems with Windows 7 and hibernate? Had been working just fine until about 2 weeks ago, now it just takes you back to login screen. I think it may be related to sp1 being installed. Tried enabling and disabling using powercfg.exe /hibernate on/off commands. (desktop, win7 64-bit)

Is it instantly back to screen? or does it hibernate then wake up after few seconds? Steve
sukh Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 @yugo - I have SP1 deployed and no issues. Can you try booting into safe mode and then try. Sukh
yugo Posted April 14, 2011 Author Posted April 14, 2011 @Steve21 Dont think the network card is set to wake up the pc. The screen dims for a second or two as if attempting to hibernate @sukh hibernate option not available in safe mode?
sukh Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 @yugo - See below. Let me know if this helps. Windows 7 does not go to sleep Sukh
yugo Posted April 14, 2011 Author Posted April 14, 2011 @sukh tried the suggestions, still no change.
