morganw Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Thanks Michael. Are you still doing the .net framework scripts as well?
FN-GM Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Hi Michael, just wondering if you will ever start doing the Windows 7 update packs? Thanks
Michael Posted April 20, 2011 Author Posted April 20, 2011 Thanks Michael. Are you still doing the .net framework scripts as well? I do still update this, but I haven't published it online for a while. The file sizes are particularly large, so I will create it in such a way that the bulky updates such as .NET 3.5 SP1 can be downloaded from Microsoft directly. So long as the file name(s) are correct, my script will still work. Hi Michael, just wondering if you will ever start doing the Windows 7 update packs? Thanks Yes, this was going to be the next update I was going to focus on, but it’ll be from Windows 7 Service Pack 1 with Internet Explorer 9 onwards. RSAT SP1 is now available, so there's no real reason not to have Windows 7 SP1 installed across the domain.
Michael Posted April 25, 2011 Author Posted April 25, 2011 Now available for download: Logistix Windows 7 SP1 x86 Post Updates (Created April 2011) - Please ensure you're running Windows 7 SP1 x86 with Internet Explorer 9 Please note, I don't intend on creating a x64 version however, if you open INSTALL.bat in Notepad and navigate to Edit > Replace, x86 for x64 most of the updates still apply. Just download the required updates (currently around 20).
Michael Posted April 26, 2011 Author Posted April 26, 2011 Now available for download: Logistix Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 + 4.0 (Created April 2011) - Please ensure you read the InstructionsNET.pdf document This pack will install .NET Framework 1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 + 4.0, including all Service Packs and Hotfixes. After installing this pack on XP SP3, Microsoft Update requires no additional .NET Framework updates. Once all updates have been downloaded, the whole package comes to 488MB. This is why I created an 'express' package 1
